Sliproad

Drive the in-between.

Sliproad is a gameplay app that runs alongside American Truck Simulator and gives every drive a purpose — quests to run, roads to master, journeys to complete. It is built Road Trip-first and car-focused: the era of the game where the drive itself is the point.

It is local-first by design — it runs on your PC, works offline, and keeps your progress to yourself. The simulator stays the simulator; Sliproad adds the reasons to drive. The first public release is in development, planned as a free release for the ATS community.

  • Quests — structured drives with objectives, checkpoints and a finish line.
  • Journeys — multi-stage road trips, authored as chapters. First up: Route 66, in development.
  • Challenges with rules — speed caps and target times, scored 0–100 from your driving.
  • Verified outcomes — runs are assessed from real gameplay data, never self-reported.

The SlipPad Home screen: a journey briefing card with a 'Browse quests' action, and the Journey, Quest, Activity and Settings apps.

Telemetry is infrastructure. Gameplay is the product.

Settings are real and stored on the device — orientation, typography, material.

Before Sliproad

From mods to experiences.

Before Rafael LP, there was LPMods — free community projects for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator since 2016. Brazilian Trailers reached #3 among the most popular ETS2 Steam Workshop mods at its historical peak. That chapter closed in 2023.

About

About Rafael LP

Rafael LP is an independent developer building software for driving simulators. The work goes back to 2016 — free community projects for ETS2 and ATS, under the earlier LPMods name — before turning to product development. Today it is a one-person practice with a bias for honest engineering, real validation and long-lived craft.

Sliproad is the current focus. It began with a simple conviction: the drive should be the game — not just the space between two stretches of road. Everything here is designed, built and validated by hand, with the simulator itself as the proving ground.
